Mile Markers
July 2026 - San Diego Comic Con 2026 One year ago, I walked the floor of San Diego Comic-Con with an idea. This year, I walked those same halls carrying my first printed comic.
Over the course of the weekend I met some incredible creators, handed out copies of Pinfall, made new connections, and spent a lot of time learning. Every conversation, every booth, and creator reminded me that comics are built one page, one book, and one relationship at a time.
The biggest lesson I brought home is that this isn't a sprint. Backroad Comics isn't about chasing one convention or one release. It's about building something that grows a little stronger every year.
The next stop is getting back to writing. Lost Boys is back on the desk, followed by The Long Way Home, with more stories waiting.
Thank you to everyone who read Pinfall, scanned a QR code, followed along on social media, or simply offered a word of encouragement. It means more than you know.
See you down the road.
July 2026 - Preparing for San Diego Comic Con The next step is getting Pinfall into readers' hands. Whether through printed copies or QR code downloads, I'm looking forward to sharing the first Backroad Comics release with comic fans at San Diego Comic-Con.
July 2026 - Backroad Comics Goes Online The Backroad Comics website is officially live. This site is home to every story published under the Backroad Comics banner, beginning with Pinfall and eventually expanding to include future projects like The Lost Boys Monster Hunter Club and The Long Way Home.
June 2026 - Pinfall Completed and Sent to Print This month I completed Pinfall and ordered the first proof copy. It's a surreal feeling after months of writing, revisions, artwork, and preparing files for print.
Seeing this project move from script to physical comic has been one of the most rewarding creative experiences of my life.
